Welcome to the Book & Board Library Lounge! We have a collection of board games you can play while enjoying refreshments in Downtown Library's new cafe space. May's featured game is Carcassonne.
Carcassonne is a city in southern France, but it’s also a strategy board game where you lay down tiles to build roads, cities, and secluded monasteries to earn points. You earn points by placing your meeple figures on an unfinished road, city, or monastery. Only one meeple can occupy a structure so you need to plan carefully. The larger the structure, the more points you’ll earn! Carcassonne is a strategy game for two to five players. The recommended age is 7 and up. The average play time is about 35 minutes.
