BookMatch is a service provided by Chandler Library staff. Fill out a form and tell us about books you like, and we'll reply with a list of picks we hope you'll love! Please allow up to 7 days for a response.
For example, if you like twisty suspense tales with female narrators and one of your recent faves was First Lie Wins, library staff can create a list like this one, with 10 other books including The Last Mrs. Parish, She’s Not Sorry, and The Silent Patient. Give it a try, tell us as much as you can about the books you like and what you like about them, and we’ll suggest what might become your next favorite!
BookChat is a new service offered by NoveList, a subscription resource for all sorts of reading suggestions that's free with your Chandler Library card. Log in to NoveList with your card number and PIN, then look for the BookChat logo in the lower right corner. NoveList staff will ask some questions about the books you like and respond with a quick pick to get you reading right away! BookChat is live 1 – 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
In reply to our example of First Lie Wins, the BookChat librarian asked what we liked about the book, and suggested The Woman in the Library and In a Dark, Dark Wood. BookChat is a great service where you get personal attention from an expert!
