Writers’ Resources at Your Library

Are you writing this November? Your library can help, with a variety of resources including workshops and consultations as part of our fall Writer-in-Residence program!

We’ll welcome Amy Fellner Dominy as our Writer-in-Residence from October through December 2024. Amy is an accomplished author, playwright, and educator, with accolades that include the Arizona Grand Canyon Reader’s Award, the Abilene School District Reader’s Choice Award, and the ALA Sydney Taylor Notable Award. Workshops include: Real Tricks to Create Fake People, Dialogue: From the Stage to the Page, and How to Finish What You Start. Find date and location details at our events calendar. No registration is necessary for these workshops.

Amy will also offer 30-minute writing consultations to help aspiring authors fine-tune their work. All experience levels are welcome. Limit one session per week. Registration is required.
Basha Library: Tuesdays, 11 a.m. - noon
Chandler Downtown Library: Wednesdays (times vary)
Sunset Library: Thursdays, 1 - 3 p.m.
Choose your date and register for a 30-minute time slot here.

For more writing consultation and support, join our Writing Group, meeting on alternate Saturdays and Sundays at Chandler Downtown Library.
