Seed Swap is Back for Fall Planting Season!

Fall planting season has arrived, and that means the return of Sunset Library’s signature event, Seed Swap! Join us at Sunset Library on Saturday, Sept. 14, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. to share seeds, seed starts, and plant cuttings with your neighbors. Meet local gardeners, Master Gardeners, and other community members with the expertise to help you start or maintain your desert garden, conserve when and where you can, and more! Everyone and all ages are welcome, and you can participate even if you do not bring seeds. It's the perfect opportunity for new Arizona residents who want to establish a garden of their own.

Gardeners can find more at Sunset and other Chandler Libraries, too! Here are some suggestions:

  • Check out some recommended reads on our Arizona Gardening booklist.
  • Pick up seeds anytime at Sunset’s Seed Library (availability may vary).
  • Visit Sunset on the third Saturday of the month, 10 a.m. to noon, for Ask a Master Gardener – one-on-one advice for all your gardening questions. You can even bring your problem plant!
  • Learn even more about landscaping and sustainability topics at our Water-Wise Workshops, happening throughout the fall at various library locations.
