Reading Groups and More at Your Library

Do you like to read and share what you’ve read? Do you like book discussion groups but you want to pick your own books? Do you like reading challenges? Chandler Public Library has opportunities for all kinds of readers!

Our Hamilton Fiction Group is a traditional book discussion group with an assigned book each month. This long-running and lively group meets the first Thursday of every month at 12:45 p.m. at Hamilton Library. Visit our Events Calendar for more information including book selections and to register.

Love mysteries? Mystery Round Table is one of the few book groups in the area to focus on this genre. Each month we read and discuss a selected title (or in some months, any entry in a selected series), with books ranging from classic whodunnits to domestic suspense and more. Mystery Round Table meets the third Monday of every month at 6:45 p.m. at Sunset Library.

Our Book Lovers Group is a book group with a twist – you get to choose the book you want to read, with everyone reading different books in the same theme each month. Check our Events Calendar to see what the theme for the month is. Book Lovers Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. at Downtown Chandler Library.

Romance Lover’s Book Club combines the popular romance genre with the pick-your-book concept. Each month we’ll feature a romance theme like “celebrity romance" or "second chance" and share everyone’s choices within that theme. Romance Lover’s Book Club meets the third Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. at Hamilton Library.

We also have book groups in partnership with other City of Chandler departments. The Chandler Museum Book Club meets every other month at the Chandler Museum and discusses books in connection with museum exhibits about local history. Check the Events Calendar for dates as they are posted.
