The New Car issue of Consumer Reports is an April tradition. How to get it at home without paying a subscription? Log in to Consumer Reports through the library’s website and get complete coverage from Consumer Reports online and print versions - all for free with your library card! Find ratings for new and used cars, buying & pricing tips, maintenance & repair advice, and more.
To access Consumer Reports, be sure to start at the library’s website to get free access. Visit chandlerlibrary.org and choose Browse the Library > Online Resources. You’ll need your library card and PIN if you’re signing in from home. Then you can browse the highlighted articles and reviews, or choose Cars from the header to view CR’s full coverage.
Get even more new car information from CloudLibrary NewsStand, our new resource for magazines including Car and Driver and Motor Trend. To access NewsStand, download the CloudLibrary app and choose the pink Magazines button from the Home tab. (Don’t see the Magazines button? Update the CloudLibrary app to make sure you have the latest version!) Read current or back issues, as many as you like with no due dates!
Can’t make it to the library to get a card? We offer eCards that allow access to all our online resources, including Consumer Reports! If you’re a Maricopa County resident, you can fill out the online form to register for your eCard. See more at our Get a Card page. eCard users can come to the library at any time to upgrade to a full-access card that allows checkout of books and other physical materials.
