Jazz on the Move at Chandler Public Library

Jazz up your month! April is Jazz Appreciation Month and Chandler is celebrating with a full calendar of events, starting with the Chandler Jazz Festival in the Downtown Chandler area April 9-12. Then Jazz on the Move brings live music to Chandler neighborhoods, including events at the Chandler Libraries:

Chandler Young Artist Jazz Showcase
Join us for a lively evening of music in the library, as well as an opportunity for student musicians to share their talents with the community.
The Nash Legacy Ensemble: Monday, April 6, 6 p.m. at Chandler Downtown Library
A group of talented high school jazz musicians from across the Phoenix area who explore essential jazz styles, composition, and arranging techniques, as well as the art of improvisation.
Chandler Gilbert Community College Combo: Monday, April 13, 5:30 p.m. at Sunset Library
A collective of advanced, dedicated CGCC students with diverse backgrounds and abilities, exploring jazz music alongside their other studies.

Jazz in Sunset Park with the Jake Leyba Quintet
Tuesday, April 15, 5:30 p.m. at Sunset Library
Bring a blanket, chairs, or a picnic dinner to this concert in the park. There will also be fun crafts and activities for the kids on the library patio.
