Chandler Public Library is joining the City of Chandler, the state of Arizona, and the U.S. to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding.
You can get in on the celebration and earn prizes with these activities:
AZ Read 250 Reading Challenge
Read 25 books between Feb. 14 and Aug. 31. You'll earn a limited edition art sticker celebrating Arizona. You'll also earn points toward more prizes with the Red, White, & Blue Pass (more information below). Stop in at any Chandler Library location to pick up a reading log.
Want a two-for-one bonus? Join the Spring Reading Program (kids 4-12, starting March 7) and the Summer Reading Challenge (all ages, starting June 1). Any books read for these challenges also count for AZ Read 250, so make sure to keep your AZ Read 250 log handy!
Library Events
Events will be scheduled throughout the year to focus on topics in American and Arizona history. The Arizona's Living Landscapes lecture series includes talks on Route 66, the Arizona Trail, and the Grand Canyon. We'll feature special themed storytimes in July and many other events. Check out our calendar to see what's happening, and check back for more events as they're scheduled.

27 Flags Exhibit
Discover how America's flag has evolved through 27 versions since its adoption. Tour Chandler city facilities, including all four libraries, to view historic flag replicas. Find the complete list of flag locations here.

Download this mobile app and check in every time you attend an event, visit a flag exhibit, or when you complete the AZ Read 250 reading challenge. You'll earn points toward fun prizes including a tote bag and a puzzle! Prizes can be claimed at Sunset Library (as well as the Vision Gallery and Tumbleweed Recreation Center) starting Feb. 14.
