Eligible items will be automatically renewed up to four times. Books, audiobooks and magazines will be renewed for three weeks. DVDs will be renewed for one week.
You will receive a renewal message by email and/or text three days before your due date. Please read this message carefully, as it will give you your new due date(s) or indicate if anything could not be renewed.
What can't be renewed?
- Items that have a waiting list/another hold
- Items that have already been renewed the maximum four times
- Items checked out to a library user's account that will expire prior to the new due date
If you cannot renew an item, please be mindful of other patrons who may be waiting for the item, and return it as soon as possible. You may then place a hold to get on the waiting list for the item. See the Fees FAQ.
Items go into lost status automatically when they are 15 days overdue, after the last available renewal (four renewals or less if there is a waiting list). Lost items are charged the item cost plus a $5 processing fee.
