We are excited to announce changes happening in The Makery! Our 3D printer, Cricut Maker, and sewing machine have been moved from the Makery Lab and into the Makery program room next door. This will provide more open space for your projects and allow for more scheduling flexibility. The booking process will stay the same, with the added feature of reserving a piece of Makery equipment instead of the entire room. As such, one patron could reserve the 3D printer and another could reserve the sewing machine without having to change their schedules. We are also thrilled to share news about the Glowforge Pro Laser Cutter. Patrons now have the opportunity to operate the Glowforge without staff supervision. Once you’ve attended an in-person safety course and passed the quiz, you will be able to book a Glowforge session of up to 4 hours per day. This will create more flexibility for you as the patron. We will still be around if you’re in your session and encounter any issues with the equipment. Click here to see upcoming safety seminars.
