Teens at CPL

Hey teens! It’s a new year – check out what’s happening at the library!

A new year means new Volunteer opportunities. If you want to volunteer at Chandler Library, you need to do three things:

  1. Check your library location. Go to the Volunteer page and scroll down to Teen Volunteering, then expand the block for your library to learn more. Some libraries have openings starting in January, others not until later this spring.
  2. Fill out a Volunteer Application for your library. If your location is open for volunteering soon, you’ll see an application link.
  3. Attend an Overview. Look for an overview at your library, listed on the Volunteer page or our Events Calendar. Make sure to choose an overview that’s at the same location where you filled out your application. Some overviews require registration.

January is also Multicultural Month and Chandler Library wants to showcase you! Pick up a grab-and-go kit with supplies to make a Unity Collage that represents your culture.

  1. Pick up a kit at your library location starting Jan. 10 (while supplies last).
  2. Create a collage that expresses your culture and ideas.
  3. Bring back your collage by Jan. 24.
  4. Collages will be assembled into one giant Unity Collage and displayed at the library Jan. 27 – 31.

If you want your collage back after the display, make sure to write your name on the back and pick it up between Feb. 1 and Feb. 8.

We also have teen events, some of them new! Check out these highlights or visit the full events calendar.
