New Online Resources at your Library

You may know that your Chandler Public Library has online information resources with everything from academic articles to world history, all free with your library card. (And if you don’t, check them out!) But did you know we have two new resources just for hobbyists, crafters and DIYers?

Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center features detailed "how-to" instructions and creative ideas to meet the interests of virtually every hobby enthusiast. Full text is provided from leading hobby and craft magazines. Tired of hunting for just the perfect article on your favorite hobby only to find that it’s behind a paywall or so littered with ads it’s almost unreadable? Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center is the solution! You’ll find videos with no ads, too!

Home Improvement Reference Center provides do-it-yourselfers with detailed, user-friendly “how-to” information covering a variety of home improvement and repair projects. Access includes full-text content from leading home improvement magazines and books, plus images not found anywhere else online. Learn the basics of wiring, how to install a faucet, tips for painting and so much more!

To access any of these resources from home, start at chandlerlibrary.org, choose Browse the Library from the menu, then Online Resources and All. Scroll down to choose one of these resources – or any other! You’ll need your library card and PIN if you’re signing in from home.

Need a library card? We offer eCards that allow access to our online resources! If you’re a Maricopa County resident, you can fill out the online form to register for your eCard. See more at our Get a Library Card page. eCard users can come to the library later to upgrade to a full-access card that allows checkout of books and other physical materials.
