National Library Week 2025: Drawn to the Library

What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities. April 6-12 is National Library Week, a perfect time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning.

Whatever draws you in, your library has something for everyone. Come to your nearest Chandler Public Library to find resources including:

  • Events and programming for all ages, from children’s storytime and gaming for teens to book discussion groups and crafty activities for adults;
  • Technology resources such as free wi-fi, free public computers and free outbound faxing, plus printing at 10 cents per page for black and white or 25 cents for color;
  • The Book & Board Library Lounge at the Chandler Downtown Library, featuring coffee and snacks as well as games that can be played in the lounge or checked out;
  • The Makery on the second floor of the Chandler Downtown Library, a free do-it-yourself space that provides access to various makerspace machinery and a recording studio;
  • The Seed Library at the Sunset Location, with free seasonal seeds to “check out” – three packets per month per household, while supplies last;
  • Culture Passes at all four Chandler Library locations, which give you 2 free general admissions to various cultural venues in Arizona (availability varies):
  • Community assistance for people in need and a job center to help with resumes and job searches;
  • And don’t forget – all the books, magazines, and newspapers you can read in house, and check out with your current Chandler Library card!

This National Library Week, take time to rediscover the library and see how it draws us together as a community. Whether you're visiting for books, resources, or a place to connect, Chandler Public Library is here for you.
