August 17 is National Nonprofit Day, and there’s a great way to support a nonprofit organization right in your backyard – Friends of Chandler Public Library!
The Chandler Public Libraries are funded by the City of Chandler, but public funding only goes so far. Additional assistance from the Friends supports programs and services including adult literacy classes, early childhood reading programs, the Makery, the Our Stories speaker series, teen volunteer recognition, and the Teen Advisory Council. New this year, the gift will fund LinkedIn Learning, an online educational resource available to Chandler Public Library cardholders for free. Funding from the Friends will also support Chandler’s new mobile library, coming in 2025.
