Library Giving Day and National Volunteer Month

Wednesday, April 6 is Library Giving Day, a national one-day giving event focused on supporting neighborhood libraries. The Friends of the Chandler Public Library is collecting monetary donations in honor of Library Giving Day to strengthen and support Chandler Public Library. Last year’s Library Giving Day dollars provided important funding for 1st-grade reading tutoring, adult literacy, the Makery, PressReader, and so much more. Consider making a gift today in support of your Chandler Public Library.

Library Giving Day is part of National Library Week, April 3 - 9. Visit your nearby library location to explore all the resources and services that Chandler Library - and the Friends of the Library - have to offer. Read more at the City of Chandler news center.

April is also National Volunteer Month and a great time to tell our volunteers how much we appreciate them! Did you know that the Library’s Adult Literacy programs, computer classes, 1st-grade reading tutoring, Job Center, and Learning Lab are all 100% volunteer facilitated? Library volunteers also process library holds for customers, help prep new books and materials, act as ambassadors for the Library’s Summer Reading Challenge, fundraise for the Library through used book sales, and so much more! Our volunteers make a real difference in our community every day and we so appreciate their help and dedication. Learn more about volunteering at this page.
