Back to School @ Your Library

The start of the new school year is the perfect time to discover something new at your local Chandler Library! Chandler Library has many useful resources and enriching programs specifically for elementary, middle and high school students.

The popular Chandler Contigo programs return this fall, celebrating our community’s Hispanic heritage with a special kickoff at the Downtown Library and related programs at our other three locations. Chandler Libraries also offer a variety of afterschool programs for youth. In LEGO Club and STEAM Club, elementary-age children learn through playful experiences. Programs in the Downtown Library’s Makery space allow youth to exercise their artistic skills and use new technologies in creative ways.

Chandler Library has many resources and programs specifically for teenagers. Teens can unwind from school in one of the library’s afterschool teen spaces. Monthly programs such as Tabletop Meet-Ups and Teen Book Lover’s Day bring out the gamer or book lover in every teenager. The library has many online resources teens can access from home to help them ace their school assignments. Use Academic OneFile (for scholarly articles), Biography In Context, Britannica Online and more, free with your library card and with no ads or paywalls. The library also has volunteer opportunities for teens who are looking to volunteer their time and make a difference in their community.

To learn more about programs and services available for youth at Chandler Library, visit chandlerlibrary.org or stop by one of our four convenient locations and ask library staff. We look forward to seeing you at the library!
